This category is known as the Hexagon Group as all of the salts have six sides.These salts tend to be manufactured between 1845 and 1850. Any salts found in this group would most likely be considered rare for of the 21 variants listed only two are designated plentiful. The majority of this group about 95 percent of it are only found in Clear glass. Cobalt blue and Opalescent are two of the rare colors also found in this group. There are two French examples in this group also. The HN-18 The Hn-18 is a French manufactured Lacy Salt . This has a rare style in that it has three clawed feet on the base.The base has a waffle pattern and the side panels have elongated arches in them. Neal lists this salt as plentiful.
