The New England marked Group was the first to put the full name of the glass factory on any lacy salt. These salts are quite plain comparatively but are quite rare and have a good color range. In my own collection below two of these salts are listed as extremely rare by the Neal's.
NE-1ANew England Glass Company Boston
This salt in milk glass opalescent is listed as very rare by the Neals. This one is made of a very heavy glass and is in great shape for a piece of glass 180 years of age.
NE-3 Clear Very Rare New England Glass Company The following three salts the NE-3 variant are each made in Clear glass. Each of them are listed as very rare by the Neals. Although this particular variant is in clear glass it is very difficult to locate on the market. I was fortunate to locate 3 of these from the same collection. The design is a Cornucopia basket over flowing with fruit. The top is scalloped Differently then the 1 and 1-A series. The bottom of these salts have embossed on them very clearly N.E GLASS COMPANY BOSTON

NE-4 Plentiful New England Glass Company
On the NE-4 the scallops at the top are not as tall as they are on the NE-3. Just below the scallops between the fluted posts at the along the entire top are chain link type decor. This chain linking is not located on the NE-3 but you do see it on the Milk glass NE-1A seen at the top of this page. .
