The SL-1A is charted in colors ranging from Clear,Medium Green,Dark Green,Light Amber,Medium Amber and Canary Yellow. I have two of these salts in my collection in clear glass. The Neals list these salts as Scarce and being manufactured at the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company. The mold was poorly designed as one end sticks up a quarter in higher then the other.
SL-8 Clear
The SL-8 is charted by the Neals as only available in Medium Amber. This salt in my collection is a one of a kind as it Clear in color and is the only known example. The base design on this alt is only found on the SL-8 mold. This salt was manufactured at the New England Glass Works.
SL-14B
The Neals list this salt dish as the SL-14B. This one is clear in Clear in color and is charted as Rare. The SL-14B was only available in clear flint glass. It was manufactured at the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company between 1830 and 1840.
